We the People Theatre

We the People Theatre began in 2017 as The 1776 Project, started after the 2016 election to bring people together in a positive, constructive way. Kids came free. I've designed lighting, scenery or both for four of its productions.

Northern Stage

Lighting for youth productions in Northern Stage's education program.

How I help

Lighting and scenic design, overall vision and producing when a show needs it. I train volunteer crews and source equipment so the work outlasts the run.

Mentoring

Since 2022 I've brought four early-career lighting designers in as assistants and associates. Three now lead productions under their own names.
